Max Dean
Book nowBorn and bred in London, bubbling DJ/Producer Max Dean is an artist on an undeniably impressive trajectory. While still relatively juvenile in his tenure, Max’s seasoned knowledge of the house music space and homage to the culture it stands upon have already shown an excitingly mature side to one of the industry’s most sought-after rising talents. Inspired by retro sounds that build the foundations of his grove-focused underground signature, Max’s appetite for bouncy drum work, swinging rhythms, and catchy basslines has quickly captured the attention of some of the industry’s best-known labels. Max’s influence on the scene continues to blossom. From the highs of 2022, which saw unwavering support from industry heavyweights and commendable chart success for landmark releases on Hottrax, Repopulate Mars, Deeperfect and many more, to the unstoppable cadence of 2023, in which Max scaled new heights with music on Solid Grooves Raw, Eastenderz, Box Red and even his label, neXup, there’s no denying Max is well and truly onto something, as he continues to perpetuate his vision on a global scale. Looking at the last 12 months in more detail, Max has continued to aim upward and excel within the electronic dance space with his work. Perhaps most impressively, adding even more weight to the impressive accolades achieved in years passed and owing to some of his best studio productions to date, Max finds himself at the forefront of the global Minimal / Deep Tech scene, featuring in Beatport’s Top 10 best-selling tracks, most-streamed tracks, best-selling artists and most-streamed artists lists for the genre - not something easily overlooked. Outside the studio, Max remains entrenched at the forefront of club culture in the UK and Europe. He has stayed in high demand internationally since launching his neXup brand, which has become just as successful as a record label as an event brand. Max has graced DJ booths in some of the most-respected club spaces and festival stages in the world, including DC-10 Ibiza for Solid Grooves’ renowned summer residence, The Beams, London, for Michael Bibi’s ELOVATE; We Are FSTVL on the Solid Grooves stage; his all-night-long show at Joshua Brooks in Manchester, and countless others across Ibiza, Amsterdam, Milan, Palma, Paris, Rotterdam and the rest of the UK. He has performed alongside some of the industry’s biggest names, including East Archie Hamilton, Michael Bibi, Richy Ahmed, Andrea Oliva, Darius Syrossian, Loco Dice, PAWSA, Oden & Fatzo, WAFF, Lee Foss, Jamie Jones and countless others. With 2022 and 2023 bringing such a high volume of lauded achievement, it’s no surprise that Max enters 2024 with an energised level of ambition, raring to go. He starts the year with a release on Richy Ahmed’s FourThirtyTwo imprint in January before hitting the road for business as usual with an ever-developing calendar of international performance and a growing pipeline of future releases.
