Luke Dean
Luke Dean
Book nowLuke Dean is a 23 year old DJ and producer from London who has become one of the most reliable names in the new wave of UK minimal and deep tech.
He was making music at 11 and had his first bit of DJ kit at 14, pushed along by watching his older cousin Max Dean turn it into a living. He has been working professionally since 2020, and the sound he has arrived at is unmistakable: the spirit of 90s Chicago house filtered through UK garage, all bouncy basslines, chunky grooves and hooks that stick. MJ Cole, Todd Edwards and Grant Nelson sit in the influences alongside Derrick Carter, Cajmere and Marshall Jefferson.
His 2023 breakout "Get Hard (You In The Lobby)" put him on the map. "Can't Decide," cut with Max Dean and Locky, did the rest: No. 16 on the UK Singles Chart, north of 68 million Spotify streams and Best Track at the DJ Mag Best of British Awards 2025. Releases have since come through neXup recz, Polydor, Atlantic Records UK, Insomniac Records, Belief, MicroHertz, Constant Sound, Locus London and Dance Traxx LDN, with collaborations alongside Kerri Chandler, Chris Stussy and Locklead.
As a DJ he has held his own at Fabric, DC10, Warehouse Project and After Caposile, played Do Not Sleep, Solid Grooves and Paradise in Ibiza, FLY Open Air in Scotland, and toured Australia. A three hour back to back with Max at Orange Yard in Soho, all unreleased material, is the set people still bring up.
