Themba’s unique sound is forged from his African roots, incorporating local singers, songwriters & percussionists, creating his instantly identifiable take on electronic music. Following successful releases on a string of high-profile labels including Knee Deep In Sound, Saved, Yoshitoshi and subsequently on his own Herd label; his breakout release ‘Who Is Themba? ’remained in the Beatport charts for over a year.

As Themba’s productions continue to break the mould, his rapid ascent has rendered him an in-demand remixer and lead to him adding his magic to artists including Paxx (Tulum), House Gospel Choir, Deepshakerz, Kevin Saunderson, Hosh & 1979. Fresh for 2022 are remixes for DJ Seinfeld on Ninja Tune and Kerri Chandler’s classic ‘Bar A Thym’.

Career highlights have included playing at Paris Fashion Week, supporting Faithless on tour, and his nominations for ‘Best Newcomer ’and ‘Best Breakthrough DJ ’at the Ibiza DJ Awards in his debut years. His music is consistently released to great critical acclaim, being lauded by the likes of Mixmag, DJ Mag Ibiza, DJ UK, Ushuaia Magazine, Faze and many more. 2021 also saw Themba host the famous BBC Radio 1 Essential mix, following a string of guest mixes on the station.
